FAQ
Yes, it is possible to pay in 1, 2 or 3 instalments directly from the L&C website.
No, each trainee travels to the chosen city (Toulouse or Nîmes) by their own means. L&C does not pay for the return journey from the trainee's home to the city of their choice for the immersion stay. It is therefore not included in the price of the stay.
Travel insurance is not compulsory. Check your credit card contract, for example, as it may contain one.
Please refer to the general terms and conditions of sale on another page of the site.
Yes, but transport and accommodation costs are at the trainee's expense.
No, you won't. All the language and cultural immersion stays organised by L&C are designed for groups of 4 to 6 trainees and the prices of the services have been calculated accordingly. All the French lessons, visits and activities take place in groups, which encourages linguistic interaction and is a source of progress. It also allows each student to get to know the other trainees and, why not, make lasting friendships.
Every day, except Saturday and Sunday, the mornings are dedicated for French lessons and the afternoons for sightseeing and cultural activities.
No, apart from the day when the discovery meal is scheduled and we all have lunch together (see programme), between the end of the French course and the afternoon activity, you are free to do what you like. This is an opportunity for you to discover your host city and its culture in your own way, either on your own or with other trainees in the group.
During the weekend, you will be totally immersed in your host family so that you can live 2 full days "à la française". Your family is committed to introducing you to the culture, gastronomy and way of life of the region and to showing you around the town where you will be staying.
This is absolutely not a problem. The family with whom you will be staying will be aware of your diet or any food allergies you may have, and will adapt so that you can eat as you wish.
Yes, when you arrive, your family will give you the internet access codes.
No, just bring rain gear.
Yes, each host family will lend a set of keys to each trainee so that they can come and go as they please.
Yes. Each week there will be a whole afternoon free.
With the exception of the last evening of the immersion week (Tuesday evening) when a closing evening is planned with the trainees, their families, a few partners and a member of L&C, the evenings are generally spent with the host family so that the trainees can practise their French and make progress. This does not, of course, preclude going out in town with or without the family, in agreement with the family.
No, because you pay a package price that includes all the services, including visits and activities, and they are planned for the whole group of trainees for the whole week.
Yes, as soon as the trainee is assigned to a family, L&C will send them the contact details so that they can correspond before the start of the immersion week. These communications take place without the intervention of L&C, directly between the family and the future trainee by the means they jointly choose (telephone, videoconference, e-mail, etc).
Yes, all the trainees in the group will be staying with a different family.
Not necessarily, but whether you're in Toulouse or Nîmes, you'll be able to use the city's public transport (Metro, Tramway, Bus in Toulouse / Trambus and Bus in Nîmes) and all the meeting places will be within easy reach. In Nîmes, you can even get around easily on foot, as the city is not very large.
Yes, L&C will provide you with a transport card for the Toulouse metro/tramway/bus network (to be returned at the end of the immersion week) or two tickets per day depending on where you live in Nîmes.
For each visit outside the two host towns, a mini-bus will take you to and from the place you are visiting (for example: Carcassonne, Albi, the Gers for Toulouse; Arles, the Pont du Gard, the Camargue, Les Baux-de-Provence and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence for Nîmes). A guide will accompany you on each visit.
Yes. All the language schools and training centres with which L&C works are Qualiopi certified (official state-certification for training centres and schools), to ensure that trainees receive the best possible quality and training experience.
Yes, in the event of an emergency, you will be able to contact L&C 24 hours a day for the duration of your stay.
Course materials will be provided. However, you can bring your own notebook or personal computer.
